Julienne Tan is a visual artist and illustrator based in Singapore. Her illustrations focus on fluidity of line and silhouette, and her recent work are studies on luminescence and the transformative power of adornment. Subjects that inspire her are youth and street culture, makeup, and female strength in vulnerability.

 

Her illustrations have been featured in publications including Female, Seventeen, August Woman, Fl.ag and Ceriph. Graphic design and illustration clients include CHANEL Asia Pacific, seen@dempsey and Wimbly Lu.

Her fine art works are concerned with issues of abuse and abandonment, and acts that restore beauty and life.

 

She is also an adjunct foundation drawing and design lecturer at Nanyang Technological University.
